Saber Project

The Saber Project is a business agreement by the authors of the SM Girls, Satoru Akahori and Hiroshi Negishi responsible in the planning of video works, development of original works, scripts, designs, production, distribution, publication and advertising of video works.

In July of 2015, the start of the Saber Marionette Re:Anime project has been announced. It is believed to follow the events in the original SMJ novel. But as of the writing of this article (5 years later), there has been no further information about the production.

A little update on the whole situation of the Project Saber status on twitter by the director itself.

Translated from Japanese
The Sino-Japanese collaborative animation movie currently being ordered by the Saber project will be a hybrid production of 2D drawing and 3DCG. Can details be announced later this year? Depends on the director’s health.

Will this mean that work on The Last Story will commence shortly after? Let’s hope so.

Currently, we are considering a fan meeting event in the Re: ANIME project. At what timing in Corona? There is also … Vaccine, come early!
