Saber Marionette i -Neo Gene- (セイバーマリオネットi 〜ネオジェネ〜) it is the latest in the Saber Marionette Series, the story is set 200 years after the main SMJ time line and a few years after the events of SMR in a time where the Terra II government has been unified to create the “World Government” and there are male marionettes. This series is a parallel work that ignores the history that took place in SMJtoX, and the setting is akin to SM2. The series abruptly ends and is supposed to be treated as “end of part 1”. One can speculate that there is a future planned work which cannot be substantiated as the writing of this article.
Introduction
200 years after the revival of women in Terra II, at a time when marionettes are living like most humans. A normal girl named Seika Tachibana has developed an insecurity about marionettes as she sees that her parents pay more attention to her younger marionette sister, Lychee. One day they were asked by their homeroom teacher to get their next day’s lessons from the old school building located deep in the mountain behind the school. Seika and Lychee then discovers a male marionette being developed underneath the old school building by accident. They were attacked by a giant crab machine and the marionette boy saved them. Seika and Lychee fled the scene and the next day they were greeted by the marionette boy at school and introduced himself as Ouga Yamato.
