Saber Marionette J Again (またまたセイバーマリオネットJ) also known as the Saber Marionette J OVA (Original Video Animation) is the sequel animation series for the previous 25 episode Saber Marionette J TV. The story continues where the previous series left off, it only has 6 episodes with a duration of approximately 29 minutes each. The character designs are noticeably different compared to the first series and it also introduces a new character named Marine.
Introduction
The story continues from where it left off from the previous Saber Marionette J story. The Saber Girls, Lime, Cherry and Bloodberry returns home to Otaru. It seems just like another ordinary day, but Otaru was surprised to find Lime and the other Saber girls sleeping beside him along with the unwanted Hanagata. things get a bit more complicated with the appearance of the Saber Dolls, Faust asked Otaru to take care of the Saber Dolls for him while he travels all over Terra 2 for an investigation mission. Things get a lot more crazy when a rogue marionette began Living with the Otaru Household, but this marionette seems to posses the same circuit as Lime and the others, the rogue marionette has no name so they named her Marine. Surprisingly, strange things began to happen after Marine’s appearance, it seems that there is a mystery surrounding her true identity.
Series Info
SMJ Again was serialized from October 1997 to September 1998, it was produced in response to the positive reception of SMJ TV. The series was based on Satoru Akahori‘s work and directed by Masami Shimoda. It is subtitled “Program 26 Plasmatic Crisis” through out the entire volume as it is to be treated as the 26th episode of the first TV series.
